6.5 Cleaning or Changing the Media Cleaning Cloth

Notes:

1. Open the Imager, remove the media roll and remove the old cleaning cloth. Clean up any residue

remaining on the black velcro roller. Move the roller lock from the closed (see Fig 1) to open (see

Fig 2) position by lifting up the locking pin.

2. Carefully pull the backing off beginning from the middle of the tape on both sides as shown in Fig 2.

Caution: The cloth may tear if care is not taken when separating the backing from the cloth. Slowly

separate the backing while checking to see that the adhesive remains on the cloth. Remove the

backing from only one side of the cloth for now.

3. Slide the side of the cloth with the unremoved backing under the black roller as shown in Fig 4.

4. Press the adhesive side of the cloth on to the black roller full length as shown in Fig 5.

5. Lightly pull the cloth taut as shown in Fig 6.

6. Carefully pull the backing off the other side of the cloth as shown in Fig 7.

7. Rotate the black roller and press the adhesive side of the cloth on to the roller as shown in Fig 8.
